GIVE A CHILD A BOOK FLAG OFF DAY

CHILDREN’S DAY BOOK FAIR

As we flag-off The “GIVE A CHILD A BOOK” Campaign today May 27th, 2023 we enjoin everyone to partner with us in the reformation of our nation and Africa at large through intellectual empowerment. The mind is the most essential part of the human existence that enables us to be conscious of our present reality & existence, so more than any part of our body we need to feed and nurture it the right way and together with your support we can accomplish this goal.

People’s Dream Initiative “GIVE CHILD A BOOK” is a campaign that aims at diminishing illiteracy in our society by putting books in the hands of underprivileged teens and children living in poverty. One of the greatest gifts we can pass over to the younger generations is to instill the attitude of reading by engaging them in activities that promotes reading culture in our society.

The give a child a book campaign will go into marginalized areas across the country teaming up with local communities, schools, libraries, charity organization and NGOs who are committed to improving education. Give a child a book fair will bring together children and teens from impoverished communities where we will be giving books to schools and students in that community. There will be variety of activities, games and competition that will encourage and motivate them to read so they can become leaders and elevate their communities. Schools around targeted communities will be selected to be part of the give a child a book campaign as we work together in helping put books into the hands of children living in poverty ridden communities to empower children with the literacy tools they need to be successful in school and in life. Encouraging them to imbibe an attitude of reading as we partner with low-income schools and local nonprofit groups that work directly with children and families to present the books through the “Give a Child a book Fair”

One of our core purpose is to ascertain the hopes and desires of the people and one of the major desire of humanity is to be successful either as an individual or as a society. And the most essential thing we can do to be successful is to learn how to read and write so we have come up with ideas and strategies that will ensure a large segment of our population are able to read and write by introducing the GIVE A CHILD A BOOK CAMPAIGN in partnership with BOOKS2AFRICA a UK charity organization that donates books to Africa, going into marginalized communities to share free English text books to teens and kids who can’t afford them and establish infrastructure and activities that will promote self-education so as to develop and strengthen the skills, instincts and abilities the community need to adapt and thrive in their society. Infrastructures like mini libraries where we use portacarbins in constructing them in different regional local communities and also introduce competitions like spelling competitions, debates, chess etc. to these rural and impoverished communities that will reward dedication and outstanding performance.

We want to thank all our sponsors and partners; Books2Africa, Nigeria Rebirth, Elizabeth Jack-Rich Foundation, CHI Limited, 7Star Global Airline, LeadStream,  TV360, Unilag Fm 103.1, Miss Aviation Nigeria,  NTA, Airforce Base Service Group BSG, Hot Mortars and all our supporters, donors and well wisher for joining us in enriching the mind of a child.

Our Campaign “GIVE A CHILD A BOOK” will be going into marginalized communities across the nation to share free English text books in partnership with BOOKS2AFRICA a UK Charity organization that donates books to Africa.
