American Library Association
PDI Notify all interested members of the 2023 ALA conference Happening June 22-27 in chicago
People’s Dream Initiative is a member of the American Library Association (ALA) a nonprofit organization established on October 6, 1876 based in the united states that promotes libraries and library education internationally. It is the oldest and largest library association in the world, with more than 57,000 members.
We were invited to the ALA 2019 conference and three of our members who applied where given invitations and since then because of the COVID 19 Pandemic the conference has been online and now the conference is back and bigger than ever before.
This year we will like to present a paper on the state of libraries in Nigeria and how we can improve and transform the library system in our nation through public private partnership and international collaborations. And after that we will be proposing and promoting a “Fund Library Project” bill at the Nigerian National Assembly after we must have secured international partnership and collaboration during the American Library Association Annual Conference.
All interested members must show proof of funds for round trip ticket, hotel accommodation, visa fee and conference fee of $300. Before PDI can register for you to get an invitation.
All Interested member can send their passport data page to Melvin@pdinitiative.com
Note: Only registered PDI members will be accepted.
Our Campaign “GIVE A CHILD A BOOK” will be going into marginalized communities across the nation to share free English text books in partnership with BOOKS2AFRICA a UK Charity organization that donates books to Africa. So we invite you to support us in actualizing our goal which is to diminish illiteracy in our society which is the root cause of poverty
Your Donation will have a massive impact in empowering deprived children with the literacy tools they need to be successful in life. We will like to thank you for your time and sincerely hope you will consider joining us in reforming the African society through intellectual empowerment and sending them to their peak with the books we give.
Thank you
